Hyacinthus, I'm not a god, I cannot read your mind. I want to hear that song that you were humming in your sleep the other night . And when the birds start harmonizing would you wake me up? For now I'll try to sleep, it's getting dark. Hyacinthus, once more your song awakened every creature in the land except for me. And once more , Hyacinthus, I've missed it Once more your song escaped into the wind. Hyacinthus, next time we lie together I promise i will stay wide awake I'll try to be as quiet as a feather And hope to god that I will hear my name.

Song for Hyacinthus
Hyacinthus, I'm not a god, I cannot read your mind. I want to hear that song that you were humming in your sleep the other night . And when the birds start harmonizing would you wake me up? For now I'll try to sleep, it's getting dark. Hyacinthus, once more your song awakened every creature in the land except for me. And once more , Hyacinthus, I've missed it Once more your song escaped into the wind. Hyacinthus, next time we lie together I promise i will stay wide awake I'll try to be as quiet as a feather And hope to god that I will hear my name.
I do this thing a lot where i write poems/songs with personal meanings and i change the names with that of greek myths and the meaning shifts entirely, which i find pretty cool.
