I lay in her spot, cheeks wet with tears I spot next to me An old pile of fur from yesterday Her smell still lingered It smelt tired and old and sick It smelled like her youth and puppy breath But it was just an old pile of fur from yesterday Her spot felt empty Her spot felt bare The only thing that filled it Was an old pile of fur from yesterday Here she sits, and here she will stay She is just an old pile of fur from yesterday

An Old Pile of Fur From Yesterday
I lay in her spot, cheeks wet with tears I spot next to me An old pile of fur from yesterday Her smell still lingered It smelt tired and old and sick It smelled like her youth and puppy breath But it was just an old pile of fur from yesterday Her spot felt empty Her spot felt bare The only thing that filled it Was an old pile of fur from yesterday Here she sits, and here she will stay She is just an old pile of fur from yesterday
We just had to put my dog down and as I was laying in her spot today, I saw a small pile of her grey fur.
