I saw you in the darkness In the silent space, you were Surrounded yet alone as a Luminescent blur -:- A lamp which glowed before me I was startled, yet in awe. For the light that you were casting Glimmered brightly without flaw -:- And as I reached my hand to you I discovered you were far Although you seem so near to me You’re only but a star -:- I’ll dream of you my northern star My distant, stellar guide. For even in the morning sun You’re brighter than the sky

Northern Star
I saw you in the darkness In the silent space, you were Surrounded yet alone as a Luminescent blur -:- A lamp which glowed before me I was startled, yet in awe. For the light that you were casting Glimmered brightly without flaw -:- And as I reached my hand to you I discovered you were far Although you seem so near to me You’re only but a star -:- I’ll dream of you my northern star My distant, stellar guide. For even in the morning sun You’re brighter than the sky
The longing for something/someone you cannot reach.
