Why do I pretend to care
why do I entertain
the thought the implication
what's right or not
attained
No one else a stake or dog
within the hunt, or chase
cutting through the mist, the fog
righteousness, misplaced
How can we tell, this day and age
if we're right, or if we're wrong
turning the page, the human race
if we were weak
or strong?

Who cares if I put a monster down
just one more peg removed
in a world in which we swim, and drown
was anything
improved?
