(in school i had to write a paper and the promt was to convince the reader animal testing was wrong or the reverse or whatever really and i was like ofc it’s wrong but what are you gonna do right surely it’s best to honor these creatures for their sacrifice surely we can extend our gratitude to the ambiguous Animal surely we can extend that gratitude even further to the very body of science to the spirit of knowledge to the soul of sacrifice surely we can make something like church for these people i mean these animals right we can make an animal church and this will comfort them and maybe they can tell how thankful we are and how much healthier and better looking and longer living and knowledgeable about the nature of life we are and all of that is good and the price feels fair i mean it doesn’t feel heavy it feels light it feels like a handful of fur at most it feels like a handful of blood at worst and tbh the deal has already been struck the road has already been crossed the table has already been toppled and there is no putting the lid back on that box so just imagine their jesus an albino rat sleek and long and glowing inside a circle of divinity and possessing of a ruby eyed knowing that should strike terror in us all—)
sometimes i think about computers. **** like, will they learn time travel before we do. will they find a way to bleed. to birth. to tragedy. will they want safety, or fairness. i don’t know. we did. we wanted so few things, and none of them were slave. none of them were machine. none of them were lab cage big enough to fit humanity. but whatever. let’s think about jesus. man jesus. rat jesus. digital jesus, should we meet him soon
