A friendly face Fills my heart with joy Their smile in slow motion Dilates my pupils A wink... Dear god, for me? Butterflies flutter around As I gaze at their wonder I see their lips delicately move No sound, no vibrations I feel my throat empty Like a cold, hollow pipe But alas, a gleaming rainbow Swoops into the moment Caressing my hand I look up and all is well That wink and the wonder in their blushed face Like a warm, embraceable hug Filled the emptiness with their heart... Their Joy
