Into the moonlight, for sunlight corrupts The darkness within, the spark of sheer lust All decent and good must eventually sleep Yet slumber awakens the darkest of feats - Awaken to find yourself in a strange place Ignorance, most unaware, what is that dark stain? It cannot be that, It must be something else Pains in the joints, how they come about - Newspaper next morning, you're chilled to the bone Read over and over till you can't anymore Stumble to find the blood-soaked shirt on the floor Hold it and shut your eyes so you won't have to sense - There's been a ****** when your sight turned black When the mind shut down and you couldn't come back The stains soak through, all over, every single time But when you wake, why do you always feel sublime? - Evil consumes; In the midst of the hours when you know you don't slumber The darkness within you takes it out for a gory spin The second, hidden half to your little good-boy grin.
