He crawls, he falls, then crawls again Only with purpose can he truly begin. He struggles to kneel, struggle to feel The beauty of life, but under life's heel. He struggles to stand, foot and knee planted on land He strains against the weight, he begins to understand. He pushes against life's heel, pushing and pushing, daring to feel He rises to his feet, overcoming life's hollow heel. He opens his eyes, taking in the deep blue sky He straightens his body, not yet trusting his eyes He takes a deep breath, and lets out a sigh. His eyes did not lie, he laughed and he cried For he was finally free, and his heart swelled with pride. He set out that night, guided by a full moons light For nothing could stop him, he found his purpose in life.

The Struggle For Purpose

Please comment :) I will keep writing as I keep thinking of them.
