Smell the ocean
Beautiful and infinite.

Taste the rays

You doubted me
you laughed at me
claimed that I never could be
A man of worth
A man of values
someone who would amount to anything
But I'll prove you wrong
I will get along
I will be a man worthy of song
Creepy and weird
that's all I ever hear
I smile at you through the insults
acknowledging you as a human being
For you could never understand the depths of my being
The love and affection for the world
My niceties being taken as hostilities
Being taken as perversions of what they really are
So I smile and laugh, day by day
never letting my true self
see the light of day
for no one could understand
what it means to me
to be a man

Wandering the streets,
the road which none meets
the moon my light
my feet guiding me through the night
The stars are my guide
as i am along for the ride
the ride that is life
pushing through the madness
coming out, achieving happiness
As you near the end
you'll know that just around the bend
where your anger dissipates
you will be free to assimilate
the happiness around you
that the stars have guided you to

He crawls, he falls, then crawls again
Only with purpose can he truly begin.
He struggles to kneel, struggle to feel
The beauty of life, but under life's heel.
He struggles to stand, foot and knee planted on land
He strains against the weight, he begins to understand.
He pushes against life's heel, pushing and pushing, daring to feel
He rises to his feet, overcoming life's hollow heel.
He opens his eyes, taking in the deep blue sky
He straightens his body, not yet trusting his eyes
He takes a deep breath, and lets out a sigh.
His eyes did not lie, he laughed and he cried
For he was finally free, and his heart swelled with pride.
He set out that night, guided by a full moons light
For nothing could stop him, he found his purpose in life.

Helping you through the places of your fears
I cared for you and took you under my wing
hoping beyond hope that you find the will to sing
Finally the time has come
you opened your wings, the song has begun
you fill the air with your beautiful voice
everyone around listens with rejoice
but now its time for you to leave the nest
Ill always love you, but its for the best.
I hope one day you'll have realized my part
In the act of saving you're heart.
As your life goes on, and i fade from your memory
you'll look back one day and wonder who it was
that saved you from misery.

She is a mystery
Someone with a shrouded history
Someone who I've never really known
But someone I know i can call my own
She is a beacon of light
When I am alone at night
Someone I can talk to
When I have nowhere else to go
She is someone who doesn't criticize
But someone who has kindness in her eyes

Night scares
Make me more aware

Forever alone in the midnight hollow
Where no one around would ever dare follow
He looks at the sky and wishes with all his might
When will it end, this god forsaken night
The wind is howling, through trees barren and naked
It seems to him that his life has been staked
For the highest bidder, his soul is to take
When out of the corner of his eye he does see
Death itself, mysterious and free
he gestured with a beckon of its hand
He starts to follow, and leaves this land
For his soul and life will never fly again.
