The sad truth is
that help comes too late
Now that I’m cold
now that I’m ok
Waterproof my eyes
and wax my smile,
Coated in plastic
and frozen for a while
For what you don’t know
Is you see what I show.
I face you now
so my heart can be seen
Because I’m stronger now
than I ever have been
But my strength that I know
makes me look to you weak
My exposed flaws and worries
look to you at their peak.
