I warned her, "Stay out of the sun, my dear" You're kicking up all the dust and the leaves You shrug your shoulders and hide those tears The one's that were the clearest to see I'm sorry if I took away the sun my dear But you need to be older to believe Because by then your eyes will be dry and clear And you'll have blown away before tomorrow's eve For now in the shadows, I'll hold you near Before you ruin the sun when you leave.

Don't Be Sunshine
I warned her, "Stay out of the sun, my dear" You're kicking up all the dust and the leaves You shrug your shoulders and hide those tears The one's that were the clearest to see I'm sorry if I took away the sun my dear But you need to be older to believe Because by then your eyes will be dry and clear And you'll have blown away before tomorrow's eve For now in the shadows, I'll hold you near Before you ruin the sun when you leave.
