I know exactly when it's you who calls Because the timing is so absurd You take time to slow it down to a crawl Just so you know you're heard Do you ever wonder how many people fall Because they hang on to your words?

In Poor Faith.
Hush now, but don't you dare fall asleep. Catch the marks on your ceiling Tread upon by misshapen feet

Insomnia
I warned her, "Stay out of the sun, my dear" You're kicking up all the dust and the leaves You shrug your shoulders and hide those tears The one's that were the clearest to see I'm sorry if I took away the sun my dear But you need to be older to believe Because by then your eyes will be dry and clear And you'll have blown away before tomorrow's eve For now in the shadows, I'll hold you near Before you ruin the sun when you leave.

Don't Be Sunshine
Though the sun was gone I still caught glimmers of gold Painted with your eyes

Glint
There is a strangled lullaby On top of the hollow tree A cradle shattered and cast aside You won't hear the crying babies And the men are sitting on the branches Singing about how they love the tree Regardless of its breaking boughs And the shriveling of its leaves They're eating all the rotten fruit That they're trying their best to call sweet They're kicking at its poisoned roots Saying it's strong while it shatters at its feet They're sure they can't hear it breaking While they're singing the lullaby So much so they tell the baby to start climbing And they even tell them they can fly All the while they can't hear it As it's all breaking at the base They're so happy where they sit But soon, it will all fall into place. Then there will be nothing left that they can break A baby can only cry for so long Till they learn to live and run away And find a sturdy tree to write a new song

My Tree is Falling
It looked like the moon As that pale silver crescent Was rising up so darkly But there was no sky When that moon fell down Eclipsed by unheavenly bodies

Tarnished Silver
He blows out his latern Cherishing the city lights How it casts away the cold He cares not how he burns Nor the voices of fright Only the world he painted red and gold.

A City of Gold
The flush of your neck Ripening in the cold Who knew you'd bloom at the edge of winter Keep yourself in check Amongst a crackle of red You look delicious amongst the cinders The cleft of your neck That dip on your shoulder Deep and dark away from the light You've left me a wreck A cup full of red All ready to bite.

Her Night
If I may be as I may Then there would be no other way If I am as I am Then there was no other choice

Road to Being
You told me that love Should transcend even the hours So here I leave on your stone doorstep A gift of your favorite flowers You loved roses for redness, To match the heart that beats for you Asters for your loveliness To match your lips so blue I took some white lilies Because I thought you'd like their light Same with the daisies for your company I left a sunflower because it's bright And for your time, I brought a dahlia For some luck, I brought some heather And lastly some hemlock So we can finally be together
