Too blue, too light She died that night. Too bright to hide, too dark to find. Scream, scream Let them hear, let them come, Let someone care, let someone run. Scream, scream But the air was deaf, And the stars looked away. Bare feet on broken ground, Cold arms clutching nothing now. Naked eyes, naked soul How many times must she drown alone? Too late now. Her voice ; once fire Burned itself to smoke. Her throat a cracked prayer, Her heart, an echo fading slow. She screamed and screamed, Until silence learned her name. Now only the wind remembers A life, a whisper, A single tear that never fell.

A girl too blue
