Maybe this is my Magnum Opus
Maybe it's a blooming flower
Glide my pen across the page
Who knew words could hold such power?
Who knew words could bring such feelings?
If I take my time then I'll soon find
The reason these words strengthen me so
As I write these words of such compassion
I can feel a smile creeping
From the corner of my lips
So for now I'll let this rush guide me
And let my thoughts flow free
As I compose my magnum opus
My true and final piece
What if I don't end with this?
It would have been my greatest work
But this writing feeling liberates me
So for now I'll put this poem aside
Gather another paper canvas
Click my pen once again
Smile, and begin to write
