I see the three gardenia bushes in my front garden, Each stretching to meet the sun-filled rays, Greeting me with a kiss this morning, amongst the smoky haze. As they grow and grow and grow galore, Shielding me from the outside’s conjure; Hidden here, 'hind this fragrant wall, I smile and praise God that I have one day more —
