I rise and fall like the ocean tides I wax and wane like the moon I fall into patterns, routines Like the waves on the shore pulling me back in The moon rises fully and pushes me to shore again The ups and downs The rise and fall The nights when the moon has taken her leave Those are the nights I can finally breathe Waves crash upon me in words, riddles, and mixed signals The crescent moon giggles with pleasure as she watches the waves Pull me in and push me back again A pattern A routine The waves and the moon Slowly wrecking me
