*For just a brief instant
i felt as if i were lost
wandering aimlessly
a place so cold.. so dark and unfamiliar
the chill piercing my bones.
Off in the distance.. i saw you
alone and afraid
i called out to you
tried to run to you.. to no avail
then suddenly.. my heart felt your pain.
And my soul shed a tear...
In an instant you were gone
i had lost you once again.
And i shed a tear...
So dark the places one thought can carry us
a brief silence seems never ending
a void.. true emptiness of heart and soul.
But even the darkness cannot stop the light of truth...
Without you.. i truly would be
Lost...
Forever with me.. even in absence
in my thoughts.. in my dreams
whenever my eyes close...
Perhaps.. you always will.....*
