I remember the warmth of your hand
reflections of fireflies in our eyes
you said if two illuminate
at the same frequency
they'd be lifelong lovers
I believed you
in awe of their bioluminescence
their tiny sparks so warm
Little did I know
the brighter we shone
the quicker we burnt out
