On the edge of it all Looking down at everything The air feels thinner I'm really on solid ground But I can feel myself about to fall Like standing on the side of a skyscraper my back against a wall Why can't I just be laying down looking up at the sky? A night sky, watching fireflies Realizing how they ignite the fire in my eyes I can feel the pain before it comes It's such a sad trait Don't want to be consumed by hate I just want let it go Things are a little different Change is inevitable But if I'm able to take a breath at a time Maybe I'll overcome

Feelings
On the edge of it all Looking down at everything The air feels thinner I'm really on solid ground But I can feel myself about to fall Like standing on the side of a skyscraper my back against a wall Why can't I just be laying down looking up at the sky? A night sky, watching fireflies Realizing how they ignite the fire in my eyes I can feel the pain before it comes It's such a sad trait Don't want to be consumed by hate I just want let it go Things are a little different Change is inevitable But if I'm able to take a breath at a time Maybe I'll overcome
