Freemind, can I ask what poem means the most to you?

I completely understand this thought. I take into consideration that time is valuable and some do not really come here to read but rather to vent. Poetry, for many, is therapy. Where they are flawed, is that reading other poet's works CAN be therapeutic, as well. I will read, whether long, short or other.

So simple can morph to sublime in no time. But the cocoon where the change occured, it's useless afterward.

Time to think, and to feel something, intimidates people who are used to living in a world where they are habitually disconnected and distracted from reality. You have to be present and feel things when you read poetry.  It requires courage to read and feel. Keep writing whatever you want, it will reach the people who are out there and aware :)

A product of the social media age FM. People want instant satisfaction and are not prepared to wait to see how a story unfolds. Look and swipe, gone. Like internet dating, same principle. I have the same problem with my story poetry, and with series of poems (even short ones).

Yes, I agree. Alot of the poems that took so long to write seemingly go unnoticed. But the short ones Are the ones people take the time to read.
