whenever i lay on my back
i look at my tummy,
my ribs slightly pop out
and the center of my stomach caves in a little
you can see
this
little tiny
heart beat
just right above the bellybutton
and it just bumps up and down up and down
and this seems to make me happy
so i
press down on that little beating belly
and
i feel
weird stuff inside
a thump, a beat, a pulse
and
it feels so good
against my cold fingertips
