There's always that place
where you lose yourself
But you find yourself there too
For me it took some time
I found it and lost it all over again
Injuries and ****** knees
took that away from me
But here I am standing back up again
So I'm taking back the crown
Never going down
And finding the little girl
Who spent all those nights playing alone
I'm winning for her
And proving it was all worth it in the end
She was gone for years
But when I play she's right here
And I lost myself for hours and hours
But I found myself there too
After years of losing my way
being scared of the dark
I'm standing here in the dark
But I've never seen so clear
There is no glory without sacrifice
So here is my advice
When you find where your mind is free
And your team is truly there
That's where you find yourself
Under the lights and the screaming crowds
So I'm taking back the crown
Never going down
And finding the little girl
Who spent all those nights playing alone
I'm winning for her
And proving it was all worth it in the end
She was gone for years
But when I play she's right here
I've got them behind me
I'm taking my shot and running with it
Giving it my all till the final minute
Until my shot makes it till the goal
And when we will the title
I'll see her once again
The little girl who fell in love with the game
The girl who saved my life
So I'll walk raise my crown
