Birds and Bees. We listen when the world informs: “To be yourself, you must conform” “Love the bird, but hate the bee” Though they both live in the same tree They don’t seem to hate each other They don’t mind that they’re not brothers. They could choose to fight, but they are aware They both help guard the home they share. Seems like we could learn some stuff The birds and the bees share, and have more than enough They don’t act off a first impression, So they don’t respond to each other with aggression. There is a point to this analogy, This metaphor relates to humanity. So now im wondering, do you see? If only we could be like the bird and the bee.
