Sitting by the river One week I screamed The next I believe Just a week… One little week… Sunday rain To Sunday sun Clandestine anxieties Storing elastic energy Released like a bullet from a gun Let it out Let it show Let it go Shared pride Shared my vulnerable side Sit by the river and let the feelings float If it matters Say it Do it Share it It WILL bring peace It will settle the child beneath So, be strong fragile one What is there to lose? Sally

What a Difference a Week Makes - The Fear of Loss
Sitting by the river One week I screamed The next I believe Just a week… One little week… Sunday rain To Sunday sun Clandestine anxieties Storing elastic energy Released like a bullet from a gun Let it out Let it show Let it go Shared pride Shared my vulnerable side Sit by the river and let the feelings float If it matters Say it Do it Share it It WILL bring peace It will settle the child beneath So, be strong fragile one What is there to lose? Sally
Written during a period of overwhelming heartache. I simply had to open up to someone, properly, for the first time, and my vulnerability landed softly, with no judgement. It was such a relief, and just the start of a tsunami of emotions that was yet to come
