You think you're stupid because you gave up everything for her. You think you're stupid because you missed the school dance and the play. But what you don't remember Is holding up her hair, Her laugh, And how she made you smile. You think you're stupid because you didn't go to the hangout place, But what you didn't realize Is that suddenly that wasn’t as important As being with her. The assumption you held about a girlfriend Doesn’t seem to align with the real world, And even though you laughed about your friends, You seem to end up in the same place. You thought they were stupid because they missed the game, But it turns out You were even worse For not knowing what you were missing By not having someone like her.
