Clever use of what I assume to be gentle sarcasm in the last two lines&#8212;it gives the poem a nuanced, complete feel. As the lines before were emotionally charged (albeit playful at times), the sardonic nature of the ending is a perfect asset to the conveyed dark sentiments previously portrayed. Beautiful work.
