You closed the door, But I was standing on the other side. With shivering lips and numb fingertips, You made me hide. Peeking behind trees, Crouching to where I cannot be seen, A ghost with a pale face, Living among the evergreens. Hiding so you won’t see me, Shaking with fear. The pelting rain, Blending with my tears. I see your shadow, But fog covers the glass. You were my first, And now my last. You are no longer my sun, And rainy days have surely come. Stumbling in 5 inches of deep regret, but I have not fallen yet. I miss your sunshine, I was always the clouds. Keeping your rays for myself, But sometimes two is a crowd. My lips still ache, To one day whisper your name. Until then my heart will break, The world ends in flames.

Evergreens
This is a group poem me and a few others made in class, but I tweaked it a bit.
