Evergreens
When heaven turns from light to dark the substance remains the same but the sense of it changes. What was just clearly seen now shadows only hint at ghostly outlines of mouse giants. Now the moon with her varied phases rules the shaded depths in this time of her dominion. The petals of the moss rose curl up in close surrender bereft of the sun's bright light. That which was bold curls up under evergreens to sleep on a bed of pine needles. Owls pierce the night sky derisive of the night-blind masses as they dive for their just rewards. All waits for the heavens to turn back once again from dark to light.

Once again
In your eyes I see the evergreens, Growing tall with pride. Casting shadows on the forest bed, Letting timid creatures hide. In your eyes I see the evergreens, Growing strong and wide. Reaching for the sun, But only touching the sky. In your eyes I see the evergreens, Brave and tough and pure. You'll grow as high as evergreens, That, my dear, I'm sure.

Evergreens
Evergreen trees & cranberries Pine cones soaked in cinnamon oil Candle holders for the beautiful Christmas candles. Time to decorate with all the fresh trimmings. Now where are the push pins and tacks? They say there are only two reasons to forget: 1) I am in love, or it is 2) Senility. I pray it is Love!

Still Sharp as a Tack?
Trail   eyes blending the murky colors as they slowly lick the landscape tickling with the edge of tongues warm pastels as if creamsicle dripping the edges of fingers somehow now lining evergreens rushing turquoise blending with navy denim white caps as fresh water churns alongside smoothing edges of rocks I dip my spine the hemispheric shape of my back as it extends over the damp dripping moss you cradle my body the warmth moves between the sensations of shudders as we cling alongside one another your lips part as the foreign color of red stands out to the cold, dimly lit nature I bite deep gasp, scream weep.

Huckleberry wilderness.
Human beings are like trees, given a time to exist, and a time to cease... some easily give in to gusty winds others are strong and determined... some people are like the evergreens, dancing with the music of every season, enduring the penetrating cold, standing tall in front...behind, and amongst naked trees... ***** or leaning, their strength seems unwaning, endless, unless downed for selfish, heartless purposes... they breathe life proudly, they exude energy amidst dormancy... We...are like the trees in a vast green woods there're  skeleton trees that have surrendered, and have leaned lower, further down; people, like the evergreens, bravely sway with the freezing wind, while holding on to the ground... but...everyone, everything has a time to give in... the beautiful clashing of earthy brown and verdant green gives notice to an imminent decadence, the contrasting colors further enhance the solemn shades of life's autumn.....then, comes, white, gray and  silver hints of our winter... when it's time, it can't be hidden, or deferred any longer... Evergreens
*The evergreens twist and fade away, This only brings forth the light of day, and in the cold night, we will meet underneath the moon, underneath the storms of the land, full of evergreens gloom, and when we meet again, underneath the moon, The stars will fade, to a blackened blue, and the moon will shine, until the day is due, the moon will shine, until it's time is through, and we see the moon, disappear today, like our evergreens, who twisted and faded away, we learn in the light of the sun, the evergreens have left with no return, when we cry a tear, the sun will make them fade, we twist as we hold each other close, as we wish to fade away, And the moon appears, next to the sun, and the evergreens come back, to surround us and make us one, and the stars come out, and dust off the blackened dirt, and we all sit inside, of the earth,*

Evergreens
Lovely leaves, lovely leaves On the branches of the trees But every year these leaves will leave Leaving a bare and grieving tree Forever the trees will envy the evergreens Never bare and forever green But tree does not know they envy him as well They've not forgotten how tree was before his leaves fell Leaves yellow, red and orange Ever green is ever boring Tree does not know that before his leaves left They left behind a priceless gift A moment of beauty Admired by many

LOVELY LEAVES
You closed the door, But I was standing on the other side. With shivering lips and numb fingertips, You made me hide. Peeking behind trees, Crouching to where I cannot be seen, A ghost with a pale face, Living among the evergreens. Hiding so you won’t see me, Shaking with fear. The pelting rain, Blending with my tears. I see your shadow, But fog covers the glass. You were my first, And now my last. You are no longer my sun, And rainy days have surely come. Stumbling in 5 inches of deep regret, but I have not fallen yet. I miss your sunshine, I was always the clouds. Keeping your rays for myself, But sometimes two is a crowd. My lips still ache, To one day whisper your name. Until then my heart will break, The world ends in flames.
