You made me embrace- What I thought I would never graze. Through your gaze, My chest burned the braise- Truly, they were all amazed. You knew just how to be cruel, Our affair felt like an duel- But that’s just our fuel, Isn’t it? Down on my knees, I have to admit- We would never break this habit, Following that little white rabbit, Falling down that hole, hypocrite- You were, Such a poser- Especially under brown liquor. I desperately cannot claim innocence, As I knew to well I should’ve had vigilance. No one can rewrite destiny- I begged hopelessly, For this to feel so lovely- For my recovery. As wise gods say, Most love affairs aren’t meant to stay- “Enjoy the journey, be grateful for the ending.”
