Men won’t understand the debt of this
They will be remiss
However Women will
THE ART OF A DEAL
Spend Spending Spent
Affordable prices circumvent
Today the best of all of days
Grabbing clawing howling growling in a haze
Sales trinket bobbles galore
Shopping carts bulging out the door
Three hours standing in line 3 AM start time
Open Open Opened
Frenzied shoppers Push and shove
Grabbing that last hat, jacket, glove
Decorum, common decency lust love
These qualities do not exist
In a buying frenzy mist.
Lost in the store at all cost searching
Finding every deal with zeal
Grab one grab two Not sure if I need it
Or who I will give it to? Great price that’s nice
In the midst of the craze Mad shopping rage
God throws down the gauntlet gauge
The Holy Spirit’s Test
Upon the woman he rest
To check her heart and soul
For wicked ways and letting go
TEST ONE
An affluent woman Unable to carry anymore
Sees a bundle of cash on the floor
Looking around, No eyes to be found
In a dash She scooped up the cash
Leaning against the wall
Teetering her items cash count call
$85 rolled tightly what should she do?
Finders Keepers or try to find the weeper
Honestly, what would You do?
There were about 15 people in line
in front and behind
Speaking , loud and clear
I found some money here on the floor
If you tell me the correct amount
It’s yours out the door
People looked at each other in silence,
Checking their wallets purses pockets
It might sound absurd, but No One said a word
The woman’s friend said
Well, if nobody claims it, it’s yours!
More shopping more stores!
Still, the woman thought
What if it was my money I lost
She would hope the person who found it
Would do the right thing, return it at all cost
So once more, she speaks up and out
To ease her doubt
If anyone finds in the store
Somebody upset
They lost money on the floor
Send them my way
If the correct amount they can say
I will give it to them right away.
Nobody ever claim the money
TEST TWO
The woman drops her heaping pile on the
on the counterThe Sales girl quickly began to sort
There was a set in limbo
She did not want to appear as a fat *****
The woman realized it was expensive
The Sales girl had pulled the tags off the items
The woman says I don’t know if I can afford that
It’s not on sale The sales clerk set it aside
Amidst the chaos,
The back up Packers
Shove everything in a bag
That did not possess a tag
The woman pays for her things
Meets her friends in the mall
To show off her bling
To one and all
She notices that set. She did not buy
The cost $180.price high
Stuffed in her bag
By Mistake the ultimate test to partake
Does she?
Take it back into the store
Telling the clerk
These items she did not pay for
Or
DOES SHE KEEP IT!
Store error in her favor
Thinking her lucky day
The shopping gods play
Happily on her way
But what if this is a test?
Ethics at play
Choose the right answer
Rule the day
Nobody knew except
The woman and God
WHAT WOULD YOU DO!
Is it stealing when you did not pay for it?
Is it morally ethically right to keep it?
What does your conscious dictate decide
Free ticket, free ride. walk on the wild side.
Mind you it was
The most beautiful two piece set
Fit perfectly in her size, eyes and smile met
The last one in the store need I say more
She had never seen
That outfit before
She wanted it so bad
She left the store sad a bit mad
Negating all the money she had saved
The phenomenal deals raved
All the other great finds
Not getting that set, blew her mind
Most people feel out of line with modern sensibilities
What would you do?

November 28, 2025 Black Friday this is a true story. My daughter was that woman. Through our lives, we have all been tested. I can’t say I did the right thing every time but one time comes to mind. I found a wallet in the shopping cart parking lot lot of a grocery store.. looking inside there were over $600 in cash several pictures of a single woman and her three small children. A phone number of emergency contacts her father listed in number one. Do I take it into the store Leave It at customer service and somebody steals the money yes I have no faith in mankind. So I called the number and spoke to the father. The woman beside herself because that’s all the money she had for the week and three small males to feed. I met the father in the parking lot. He tried to give me a finders fee. I told him it’s not a good deed if he paid me anything .. that statement took him back. you never know what you will do and say and how it will affect another person. I wish I could say my whole life. I did the right thing, but when I was younger, that was not so. But it made me feel good to know I did the right thing that day. And I might add I really needed that money. I could’ve used it. I’m living paycheck to paycheck, but it wasn’t mine to keep. I’m interested in other experience. People might have had weather good or bad.
What would you do if this situation happened to you.
