so much of my life was this, and then i understood the language

when it became a science, i became an abuser, choosing words not because they meant what i felt, but because i knew they would work

when it became an art, i became dissociated, master of social engineering, persuader of lust

now, finally, I'm back to the beginning, where love is something i don't understand, because when i truly feel it i only find myself frozen and unable to do anything 

i am not worried about being rejected. i am worried about being loved. because i don't know if it's a science or an art to them- or if it's more, then i question their judgement most of all.
