I stood at the edge of all we shared, Too many words caught in the air, Broken pieces I couldn't mend, Too soft spoken to make amends. Now I'm wired and wide awake, For every chance I failed to take, Sorry for the walls I built, For the warmth I guiltily wilted. Time slips through my fingers still, But one truth remains against my will. Through every failure, every missed sign, There was a moment when you were mine. The memory lingers, bittersweet, Of hands that held and hearts that beat, Before the distance grew too wide, Before I turned and walked inside.

You were mine
I stood at the edge of all we shared, Too many words caught in the air, Broken pieces I couldn't mend, Too soft spoken to make amends. Now I'm wired and wide awake, For every chance I failed to take, Sorry for the walls I built, For the warmth I guiltily wilted. Time slips through my fingers still, But one truth remains against my will. Through every failure, every missed sign, There was a moment when you were mine. The memory lingers, bittersweet, Of hands that held and hearts that beat, Before the distance grew too wide, Before I turned and walked inside.
I miss you. I wont ever tell you that though. You with your dark messy hair and watercolour eyes. The only boy I could love.
