Whenever I look in the mirror I cry I think of the times I looked in it And had makeup smeared across my face from crying I think of when i would look down at the reflection of my arms and see where I had cut Whenever I look in the mirror I wanna smash it I think of all the memories of seeing all the bruises on my body in the reflection From guys who used their fists to solve their problems I also see the me when I used to not eat And forced myself to throw up every time I was scared to gain a pound On my anorexic body When I look in the mirror I smile Because I think of all i’ve overcome My reflection is finally showing who I truly am All I’ve worked hard at My reflection is finally Me
