[Intro] [Verse 1] We love roses best, Sweet smell, glorious petals, We endure the thorns. [Verse 2] Weeds are flowers too, Saffron dandelions bloom, With edible leaves. In adversity thrive. [Verse 3] Children's sweet delight, Summer's snowflakes their blown seeds, Gathered gifts for mom. [Verse 4] We protect the rose, Take pains so it blooms, Poison dandelions, Their beauty unprized. [Verse 5] God created both, Without judgment as to worth, It is we who judge. [Instrumental bridge] [Outro} So with people too, Flamboyant facades we prize, Plain, true worth, we shun.
