Today it was the cracking of my shoulder muscles that made me remember the nights where you would lie on the floor of your room and stretch your hips and legs so they wouldn't hurt and keep you up at night. I would lie right next to you and we would silently be looking at our phones and holding hands. You never asked me to lie with you, I just always wanted to be close to you.

It is always something small that reminds me of you.
