your light reaches into the deepest waves
of the ocean inside of me
where i was once lost drifting out to sea
when you shone your light
to find the better parts of me.
forewarned of jagged rocks and stormy weather,
your soul was my lighthouse when I didn't know any better.
And then I knew it was you all along
that guided me home.
