My eyes have seen the sunrise countless times I've seen countless shades of gold and auburn paint our skies Yet nothing fills me with more life than the specific flicker of gold staring back at mine Warmth floods my senses and to my surprise I wish I could capture this moment in time As the sky meets the stars at a days finish, I find myself trying to comprehend how I could ever pretend this chapter will come to an end Forever burned in my memory, Is you. The flame I failed to tend.

The End of New Beginnings
My eyes have seen the sunrise countless times I've seen countless shades of gold and auburn paint our skies Yet nothing fills me with more life than the specific flicker of gold staring back at mine Warmth floods my senses and to my surprise I wish I could capture this moment in time As the sky meets the stars at a days finish, I find myself trying to comprehend how I could ever pretend this chapter will come to an end Forever burned in my memory, Is you.
