Driven by a lustful fire I almost broke off my eternal promise A truthful ring I put on my finger With a love, I’d never compromise For one night euphoria I took off my eyes from the prize With a sudden salacious feeling When I got caught by surprise But after the dust settled in And I came to grips with reality I vividly saw what I’d be losing Walking on a lustful road, without sobriety A new feeling is like wildfire fever Hotter than a cup of coffee brewed To remain content should be my last resort Although some temptations can’t be subdued I’d burn with the heat of seduction Incapable to close my eyes Yet I can only dream a night alone with you And counting the bright stars in skies Jobiranyc 7-28-2021
