I drove by myself for the first time, Since getting my license. I was thrilled, excited, unbelievably happy. I got a pajama set, And a hair clip. I drove home, Stopping for an extra second at stop signs, Going two under the speed limit, Turning on my turn signal to park. I was careful, safe. Which made it hurt even more, When I was called "unsafe" As soon as I got home. Do you have the receipts? Was that all you bought? How can I trust you? Show me your pockets? Maybe I'm not getting better, Because you never stopped treating me, Like a danger to myself.

This isn't so much poetry, as a rant. Apologies
