Lying in the night Blood shot eyes and salty tears roll down my cheek I ponder why I was always so meek with you Why all I did was love you Just to be shot down like I was a target and you had the perfect aim You held the controller, I was the game I took the punches and the blame You stole my heart, ran, and I tried to chase Ended up seeing you slowly fade away at the end of the race You even took the last sip from the cup I guess it was my fault I couldn't keep up Too weak to fight Left alone with blood shot eyes in the middle of the night
