I take pride in my suffering Put my sorrow on a platform My grief is living on a pedestal For all to admire I worship it I obsess over it I'm in love with it I'm proud of it I worked so hard to make my sorrows deep My troubles complex My problems heap My desperation is clear And without it I fear I hurt everyone near I shove my sadness in their face Look at it Listen to it Hear it Pity it Pity me Please agree Tell me I'm important That I'm worth it That my sorrow is worth Being proud of Because if my pain is anything Then I am worth, At the very least: Something
