There is a light At the end of a tunnel When our hearts cease to beat It’s the feeling you get When you’re all alone And a lovers eyes you meet It’s a long endless journey With no sense of time It’s the warmth of a soul That will help and get you by Have the angels found you Alone with an empty heart Will you make it to heaven Or were you doomed from the start Will I find you in the afterlife Waiting at the gates Or will I find myself abandoned Oh, where will we meet There’s a light At the end of a tunnel It’s calling out to me I’ve felt this before When my heart skipped a beat It’s a long endless journey With no sense of time It’s the warmth of a soul That helps to get you by Have the angels found me yet Alone in my bed I will make it to the heavens A quiet and peaceful end I will find you at the gates I will see your vibrant smile I will rest in peace but I’ll never be alone May I rest in peace but never rest alone
