She imagined jumping in the water
But she thought she might drown
So she decided not to
She imagined walking in
But she thought she would get bitten
So walking she did not do
She thought she would dip her toes in
But it might be cold
So she walked passed
And
Slipped instead
Falling shoulder first
Into the clear blue pool
It was everything she did not imagine
Warm, welcoming, and extraordinarily peaceful
