Older-than-you people speak But their words scream Bombardments of condescension and pseudowisdom "Things will happen and people will change" They don't And they don't Ensnared by the lure of expectation Their promise is just beyond your grasp after a billion grasps One step away...for a trillion miles But the potential of the now is undiscovered Yesterday filled with regret and nostalgia Tomorrow, well, it never comes Nowness could be happiness ...Once the rest is gone Isn't that what they should tell you? And, but, can you?

misery for all ages
A moment taken to ponder That the person walking by has a past And a future A birthday A best friend (or not) A strife (or not) A first love (or not) Right here was en route to his somewhere She was heading to a different somewhere How many somewheres are there - a million and thirteen? The universe destined their crossing on their way to each somewhere Star-crossed...bullshit What does why or how matter anyways...who might, though Arrival at her somewhere She didn't embrace the end of the moment As she remembered to forget the world
