we all belong somewhere
the universe is nothing but a vast of black sky, sprinkled with tiny dots of light called stars

universe
they say love is butterflies in your stomach, fluttering heart when you see him, smiling uncontrollably for no reason, feeling safe in his arms but today i witnessed her break down, wailing out loud uncontrollably, her shoulders shaking from sobbing so hard, lips quivering with effort to stop crying the light that was once in her eyes dimmed now replaced with the look of utter betrayal of all the lies and broken promises. she speaks of suicide in such a broken tone i never heard before it scares me it's hard to believe the now tear-stained cheeks were once glowing radiantly it breaks my heart to see the once cheerful girl being shattered into pieces

the broken girl
tonight is one of those nights where the music isn't loud enough to drown out your noisy thoughts; where even your favourite book doesn't bring you comfort tonight is one of those nights that i'm fighting to stay afloat, but i am drowning deeper and deeper and i long to breathe

one of those nights
it's an irony how slashing your wrists numbs your pain; how the loud booming music is the only thing that makes your thoughts go silent; how you keep things to yourself, yet expect others to know your thoughts

the irony
in a crowded hallway, i dropped my books you picked them up for me and i said "thanks" that's how we met by chance or fate we'd bump into each other frequently and we started to greet each other with a smile we exchanged numbers and started hanging out together that's how we became close one day, at 2am we were laying under the stars and laughing at something one of us said you suddenly turned to look at me, with admiration reflecting in your eyes that's how i know you loved me two months later we were sitting on a park bench i said "i love you" but instead of saying it back you turned away and that's when i knew i lost you

our story
you say you're insecure about your looks but let me tell you that you're the kind of pretty that makes heads turn the kind that have guys falling over themselves to please you the kind of pretty that makes girls jealous the kind that lowers self esteem the kind that makes me mad when you say you're not pretty because you're the kind of pretty that makes me hate myself every time i look into the mirror

tell me again, how does it feel to have someone love you back? how does it feel when he kisses your forehead, when he does silly little things just to see you smile, when he bares his heart to no one else but you tell me again how incredibly blessed you are at least hearing it will soothe my soul, that i will not remain unloved forever

tell me again
like a new adult butterfly, you emerged from your chrysalis; you spread your wings, ready to begin a new life you were so full of energy and passion for everything around you you were beautiful, but not enough; it's never enough because darling, beauty is no longer in the eye of the beholder beauty has become a standard shape, a standard size but beauty is intangible, and how can you compare two butterflies who are completely different in their own ways?

Never despise any old book. Never say they are outdated. It is your restricted outlook. They are like parents aged. Never judge it by its covering. Changes immense it can bring. Treasures may be hidden inside. You may find a friend or a guide. Remove dust, open the pages. Gems lying inside since ages. Read once, twice or several times. Learn something new every-time. Never despise any old book. Never say they are outdated. It is your restricted outlook. They are like parents aged.

Never Despise Any Old Book
there is a girl sitting alone by the sidewalk hunched shoulders, empty look, motionless the look of utter defeat you can almost feel the sadness radiating off her but don't ask her if she's okay she will say "i'm fine" but that's all she will ever be-- just fine
