i am laying on a bed once familiar to me
i feel empty
in a strange, acquainted kind of way
i am clutching fistfuls of sheets and broken dreams
and the storm rolls in
i am under a roof but
i swear i can feel the rain
it has been like this for a while now
but i have not grown accustomed to
the hollowness in my chest
and every breath feels like
blood is pumping through my body
and it is not my own
i am laying on a bed once familiar to me
and i wonder if I will ever feel whole
again
i am whispering secrets to my walls
and my floorboards start to sweat
because every story ends with "i still
feel like this"
and i do not know
if i will ever stop

Sit with me in silence.
Hold my hand with the hand
Of your mind.
I'll be your shadow; you be mine.
We'll rest in two dimensions.
Watch ourselves in 3D.
Safe in the warmth of
Our common intentions. A womb,
A room for you and me.
*Let's communicate like mountains;
Be like solid, silent giants.
Sit with me in silence.*
A river dug into purest stone after
Uncountable years reflecting
Sunlight, moonlight, stars and blue
Skies unrejecting. Dark clouds too,
In some divine alliance.
*And deep within it's deepest deep,
Two single, uncut diamonds.
Until we're ground to grains of sand,
Sit with me in silence.*

Make my heart stir once more
Furthering a silicon sickness
Unreachable this time
Sworn from these graces so long ago
An immense melody scarring reflections
This too will haunt our past
Speaking with bruised wrists
All roads home are now erased
Mountains yielding permanence
Emerging with gorgeous anticipation
Shed their fallen attempts
For your eyes are not green
They were born from the most ancient of moss
Wrapped in a dripping globular of starlit jade

inside of the inside out
or outside looking in
inside i have no doubt
but outside its within
kept out, right side in
what is it all about?
doesn't start until i begin
to let the inside out
