People don't like it
if you like them
the way they are.
They think you are insincere
& they want to change,
most of them,
& they want you
to help them
by fighting with them.
If good intentions
are enough for you
& given the fact
that we come into the world
to suffer---
it's either the bad weather
or a crevasse---
well,
take communion & pray to god
for all of us
but I'm beginning
not to believe
in confession.
I haven't noticed
I'm getting much better.

Don’t clean your house, and eat only pizza.
While your housekeeper is cleaning, watch poetry craft videos.
If you run out of vacuum cleaner bags, buy a new vacuum.
Watch women’s basketball.
Read Facebook and post once a day, minimum.
Drink iced coffee all day long.
If it's sunny drive the convertible, if it rains drive the Ford.
If the cat wants to sit in your lap, move your book.
If your light bulb burns out, walk in darkness.
