Shy smiles
Looking at you when
I think you’re not looking at me
Sitting close but not talking
Afraid to break the
Wall of silence
Eyes scanning the crowd
When they reach yours
Drop down to the ground
A small smile on the lips
The heart thudding away
Looking up
Into your eyes
The mind goes blank
Words dry up
Unable to look away
Conscious of a blush creeping up
You smile
It reaches your eyes
Look away into the emptiness
And wonder if this is
How it feels…….
