Singaporean The universe is made of stories, not atoms. / A little bit hopeless, and plenty romantic. / We write to taste life twice.
I know... I am not one of the pages of your book or the words in your poem But... I will tirelessly watch over you from every nook. I know I am your never but you will forever be my always... I know... I am not the potrait you are painting or the inspiration behind your masterpieces But... in my heart , it is your name I am engraving. I know I am your never but you will forever be my always... I know... I am not the reason for your smiles or the tickles of your laughter But... for you, I would walk a thousand miles. I know I am your never but you will forever be my always... I know... I am not your shining star or the light in your life But... till forever is through, I'll admire you from afar. I know I am your never but you will forever be my always... I know... I am not the one your heart beats for or the one you desire But... my hearts says as long as it brings you happiness, it wants nothing more. I know I am your never but you will forever be my always...

Forever My Always
Driving around in a fancy car Leather jacket and shiny shades Did they ever get you far? Still, they brought you to me Glares and mocking grins, Keeping the distance but Still, you pulled me in Nothing much, just a simple thing And then I uncovered your hidden depths All you loved and all you have left Finding myself but looking for you Won’t you trust me, too? You pulled me in, and I can’t win Helpless, please What can I do? Breathless, please, I need this You’ve hidden all you’ve left to give Locked away and thrown the key You think you’re broken, hopeless, but Steady, there’s nothing to fix Hidden away but still shining bright I’m blinded by your light but Still, I’m pulled in Drowning, but so worth it And then I find out you’re more Witty jokes, warnings ignored I found myself but I don’t know what to do You’ve pulled me in but no one’s lost You’ve hidden all you’ve left to give Locked away but I know the key You’re not broken, you know, Steady, we’re okay And maybe I’ll see you in my dreams, the two of us, Blue and orange, so strange, a perfect pair Maybe we’ll set sail, drifting out in the open – Anchored by each other, never lost.

Lost In You
Let your stature dwarf me Let me drown in your eyes, twine my fingers in your hair As you peer into The depths of my soul layer by layer: Every part of me. Let your kisses convey what your mouth Cannot articulate Let your fingertips trace my palm as my fingertips trace the planes of your face: Wrap me in your warm embrace. I don't know the layers of your scent but I know that it encompasses me. Home is where you are Breathe me in tell me, Am I home too?

unsent love letter
I would like to be like glass Beautifully touched with a searing kiss, and Wondrously shaped into what I could be but there is also A strange splendour in the salt That was the ocean, kissed too hard by the Sun and what about The tide that always comes back to kiss the shore No matter how far they separate? I'm not sure if it's beautiful, or pitiful For the tide seems to love the shore so much – But what about the shore? does it wish, with all its being, That it could be with the tide forever? Or does it long for those moments of peace Without the tide (to be alone?) But the tide Always comes back Let's not forget about the Sun: does it wish to come down and play Or does it wish that they would take their problems And go away?

seashore
the collection of lines Across your wrist what stories Do they tell? or are they Records of the time You spent? sometimes I wonder what it would be like To have actual scars to prove that What I feel threatens To overwhelm But aren't the ones without Scars on their skin The same ones who have Scars inside?

and maybe it isn't that We're “ugly" but maybe it's just that We're looking too close for afterall If we looked as close beautiful paintings Would just be blobs of Ink

And I know that these aren't Poems (not really) But let me play pretend And I know that these “Poems" aren't actually good But leave me to my delusions

ersatz
I worry, about how Unworthy I am. You are perfect, so much More than all I ever could be. You will look at me and find me wanting, lacking. Despondent, utterly forlorn because I can Never even begin To compare. you are Deeper than the ocean, and I am Shallower than a rain puddle. you despise People like me. how will I Cope? but maybe You will approve because I will love you To the universe and Beyond

B. C. #1
The days are short and the nights are long Nights filled with thoughts of you. Craving, longing, dreaming: the affection you bestow upon her, the way my heart beats — as if it were yours, And how the Sun could never compete with The light in your eyes. How foolish I am, To miss what was never mine To dream of what I could never have To hope for something — anything.

thoughts of you
Once there was an invisible man, tired of being unseen. Invisible he was not, yet people did not see him. But if no one saw him, was he really there at all? If no one sees you, are you really here at all?
