he looked like a prince but like every other, he was searching for a princess. a title i was never born with, nor bestowed upon, and never to be seen as such.

"what's your favorite place in the world?", he asks her. the girl stops in her tracks, unwavering but astonished. she looks back into her past. she reminisces the dark pandemonium she had been trapped in for too long. one of narcissism, hate, and judgement. amongst it all was the light she continued to admire yet could not grasp. right now, her light is asking her that very question. she stares blankly at the boy, gaping at the thought that he asked her of such. the boy smiles. "high school cafeteria", she replies with her eyes gleaming of nostalgia. a small crescent-like smile forms on the bottom of her face, looking down on the floor. the boy chuckles and fleets his mind to the same memory. his face lights up and grins widely. the girl chuckles back as her heart breaks when she realizes that… his light was someone else

high school cafeteria pt. 2
flaws are not just mere words that come out from the shallow openings of our mouths. they start at the surface of our skins from the day we were born, crawling up to the very insides of our bones. that's why they sting so deep when used against us. but, once you start wearing them, smiling, maybe it won't hurt so much anymore.

word of advice
try picturing a bird in a forest. stuck on a branch of a tree, unable to move on its own, unable to go forward into its journey, unable to venture out on its own adventure. why, you ask? because a part of it is broken, a part of it is holding the bird back, a part of it made the bird unwilling to step back out on its two little feet, a part of it thought nothing will ever change. I pass by numerous crowds everyday and see people being plastered with fake smiles and phony laughter. that’s when I realized, we all have broken wings trying to hide the pain and sadness inside of us because we are scared to show it, too scared we wont dare to take a risk and fix it. but life is full of risks, right? a risk to get hurt, yet a risk to be healed. so then maybe, the world is telling you that before you can fly, before you can be able soar through the clouds and feel the wind brushing through your whole body, that you need to know how it feels like after using your own legs to walk throughout a very long journey. maybe the world wanted u to know how it feels like to get yourself wet after swimming through the oceans to reach your destination. maybe the world wanted you to know how it feels like to get dirt underneath your fingertips after digging and crawling on the ground. maybe the world wanted you to know better. just because your wings are broken, it doesn’t mean you are too. we all have broken wings and yes, they may hold you back.. but only if you let them just because some parts of you are broken, it doesn’t mean you cant overcome every obstacle the world throws at you so when you do fly, never be afraid to look down watch as you let all your fears and doubts crash onto the ground. and the once vulnerable small bird finally learned how to soar into the sky on its own.

free falling
thousands of words exchanged everyday, countless playful banters. mostly about things that don't really matter. however, my heart still couldn't find a way to say those 3 words i want to tell you whenever i see you each day.

umm...
i saw a beautiful star in the night sky. while staring at it from a far distance under the moonlight, i was mesmerised by its luster, inspired by the light it gave. as i got closer and closer, i fell in love with the pulchritude of its flaming infernos. as the distance between us slowly started diminishing, i stood there still smiling, thinking, "someday, you'll be the death of me"

maybe we don't exactly need to live forever to become immortal. maybe we don't need to be in everyone's hearts or even have our faces in the hall of fame. they say, energy cannot be created nor destroyed. so maybe just existing had made us immortal already.

late night wonderers
to dream is a bliss, to imagine is happiness. fantasy is a wonderland filled with duets and slow dances. a colorful place it is with trees and bright flowers throughout complete with perfectly light blue skies. but somehow, reality found its way and pierced right through, creating deep holes and gaps that you just can't fill those holes will forever remind you that it can never be real reality is a dull world filled with never-ending dark storms and withered flowers. to dream is a bliss, yet to daydream forever slowly becomes a nightmare full of such lethal pleasures. and so as i break my wistful trance, i find myself in an abyss called life where no one knows when they'll hit rock bottom. i look up in the sky, patiently waiting for the storms to end wishing to find a rainbow.

daydreams
as he stared at her from afar in a sweet, loving gaze, with sweaty palms and a hesitating voice, he never really realized that someone else loves him the same way he loves her.
